You think you are doing just fine for a few hours, then, WHAM. A massive kick in guts. Went out to get the daughter in law a birthday card and realised I have to sign it from just Denise. nOw that sure hurts!

Having my beautiful 4 year old granddaughter tonight and she knows granddad has died………….so she says when she first came in……..”granddad had died, I hope he comes back soon”………….then runs off to play………………then a bit later on…………..”I miss granddad” ………

Yesterday we had a great fun day dressing as Wild West characters at the golf club. This was an event that Ian would have always won the best costume (cause he knew he wouldn’t win at golf haha), and he would have been filling the day with lots of fun and more memories. It was a hard but fun day for me with lots of on off tears throughout. It really hurts when you do something that you normally would do together. Went to bed feeling very sad. Today is another day to get through, but I am sure I will x
