It’s our 2nd granddaughter 1st birthday today. Feel very sad that Ian didn’t get to see it. He had a massive soft spot for our mischievous little girl. We often joked that the eldest was my heart and the youngest his. We love them both obviously but there was a different bond with each of us. Angel kisses little Harper x

My mum said to me a couple of weeks ago that the hardest times will be my happy times when I cannot share them with Ian. Today was one of those days. A great win away at man city. I would have been here at the match and Ian probably in Dubai watching it live. We would have text throughout the three goals and spoke afterwards. It was an historic win. I did share it with you though Ian. I looked up to the skies and cried when that third goal went in. You were still with me even though I can’t read your texts or hear your voice. It’s hard though mate x
